Chuchview Supportive Living Community

Churchview Supportive Living Community is owned by Greater Southwest Development Corporation, which also owns and operates two successful affordable independent living communities on 63rd Street. The organization has done an impressive job of community redevelopment to improve the quality of life for residents of southwest Chicago.

Opened in the summer of 2004, the Churchview Supportive Living Community is designed for adults 65 and older of all incomes who need some help to maintain their independence, serving as a wonderful alternative to struggling alone at home or to nursing home care. It is especially designed to benefit low income seniors.

Private studio and one-bedroom apartments are available, each with its own kitchenette, private bathroom with shower, and emergency response system. Community areas include a spacious dining room, private dining room, exercise room, convenience store, and areas for activities, crafts and recreation.

Three meals a day plus snacks; housekeeping and laundry services; health monitoring and nursing assessments; and assistance with medications and activities of daily living are among the services included in the surprisingly affordable monthly fee.

Certified nurses assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide the assistance needed by residents. They work under the direction of the community’s licensed nursing staff.

Located in the Chicago Lawn/Marquette Park area of Chicago, Churchview is minutes away from downtown Chicago. The neighborhood features a variety of ethnic restaurants and shops, and the Museum of Science and Industry and the Lithuanian Museum and Cultural Center are within close proximity.

The area is full of history, starting with the Bungalow homes that were built between 1890 and 1940. Generation after generation of families grew up in these homes, with most utilizing Holy Cross Hospital as the hospital of choice. The hospital has been providing exceptional care since 1927.

As an added benefit, the residents of Churchview Supportive Living can enjoy a view of the Chicago Skyline that can only be described as phenomenal.

With Churchview being fully certified by the State of Illinois as a Supportive Living Facility, a financial assistance program is available for those who do not have the financial resources to afford the monthly fee.

You will not be able to find a more gracious or affordable assisted lifestyle community then Churchview Supportive Living. To arrange a visit or for more information, call (773) 471-4444.
