Heritage Woods of DeKalb
Heritage Woods of DeKalb is an affordable assisted lifestyle community located on the east side of Annie Glidden Road, north of the Northern Illinois University campus and adjacent to the DeKalb County Rehab and Nursing Center.
The two-story building houses 76 private apartments, with each apartment having a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower, and emergency response system.
The emphasis at Heritage Woods is on maintaining the health, wellness, dignity and independence of each resident. Help with medications and assistance with such activities of daily living as bathing, grooming, dressing and getting to and from the dining room and activities is available. Three meals a day as well as laundry and housekeeping services are included.
Certified nurses assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide the personal assistance needed by residents. They work under the direction of the community’s licensed nursing staff.
With Heritage Woods of DeKalb being fully certified by the State of Illinois as a Supportive Living Facility, a financial assistance program is available for those who would not have the financial resources to pay the monthly fee.
