Lighthouse at Silvis is a senior living community located in Quad Cities area of western Illinois,
Nestled in a residential neighborhood near John Deere Parkway and Avenue of the Cities, just a ½-block south of Genesis Medical Center — Illini Campus, the community features apartments for senior living and assisted living as well as The Harbor — a specialized neighborhood for older adults with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia.
All of the apartments are available on a rental basis — there is no entrance or endowment fee required.
Senior Living Apartments
A variety of one-bedroom, one-bedroom with den and two-bedroom floor plans are available, ranging in size from nearly 600 to nearly 1100 square feet. Each apartment has a full kitchen that includes a four-burner range, self-cleaning oven and double sink. The bathrooms are spacious and feature a shower and emergency call system. The electrical outlets arc raised and the doors have handles rather than door knobs. As an added benefit, each apartment also has its own stackable washer and dryer so residents can do their laundry in the privacy of their own apartment home.
For the convenience of residents of the senior living apartments, the main meal each day and housekeeping and flat linen laundry services are included in the monthly fee.
Assisted Living Apartments
The assisted living apartments are a perfect alternative to struggling alone at home or to a nursing home for older adult who need some help to maintain their independence. Our staff of certified nurses assistants and personal care attendants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide residents with the assistance they need. They work under the direction of a full-time Registered Nurse and can provide help with medications and bathing, with grooming and dressing, and with getting to and from dining and activities. We can handle medication set-up, remind residents to take their medications, and administer medications to residents, if needed.
The Harbor
From design elements that provide valuable visual cues to our highly trained staff, individualized service plans and life enrichment activity-based programming, The Harbor is designed to meet the special needs of residents with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia. Our focus is to enhance the dignity and well-being of each resident in an atmosphere that is warm, comfortable and secure.
Both the Assisted Living and Memory Care apartments are licensed by the Illinois Department of Public Health.
