The Grand Prairie affordable assisted lifestyle community houses 48 private apartments, with each of the apartments featuring a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower, emergency response system, and individually controlled heat and air conditioning. The existing apartments have the added benefit of hot water heated floors.

Community areas include an activity room, billiards room, convenience store, dining room, private dining room, library, exercise area, TV lounge, front porches and two enclosed outdoor courtyards.

Certified nurses assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide personal assistance and help with medications. They work under the direction of the community’s licensed nursing staff.

Grand Prairie has received approval to expand the size of the community to 96 apartments.

The Affordable Choice for Assisted Living in Macomb, Illinois

Residents of Grand Prairie pay a monthly service fee that includes three restaurant-style meals a day plus snacks; housekeeping and laundry services; health monitoring; nursing assessments; help with medications; and the assistance residents need with activities of daily living. There are no Community or Entrance Fees and no leveling charges.

Financial assistance is available for those who do not have the financial resources to afford the monthly fee. As such, older adults on Medicaid or who only receive Social Security benefits can qualify for residency.
