Heritage Woods of Belvidere is the only affordable assisted living community in Boone County, Illinois.

The community, which is designed to serve adults 65 and older of all incomes who need some help to maintain their independence, is located on the north side of Squaw Prairie Road, east of Illinois Hwy. 76, in Belvidere, Illinois.

Belvidere is located in north central Illinois, 75 miles northwest of downtown Chicago.

Heritage Woods serves as a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home and will especially benefit seniors who cannot afford private pay assisted living.

The community opened for occupancy in April 2011 and is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of affordable assisted living in Illinois and one of the 25 largest providers of assisted living in the nation.
