Heritage Woods of Benton is the only affordable assisted living community in Franklin County, Illinois.

Nestled next to a wooded area just east of Franklin Hospital in Benton, Illinois, the community is designed to serve adults 65 and older of all incomes who may need some help to maintain their independence.

Benton is the County Seat for Franklin County and is located along Interstate 57 between Marion and Mt. Vernon.

Heritage Woods is certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program and serves as a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home and especially benefits seniors who cannot afford private pay assisted living.

Our community combines residential apartment home living with the availability of personal assistance, support services and opportunities for residents to enjoy the companionship of friends and neighbors and to participate in social events and programs.

The two-story building houses 100 private apartments, each with its own kitchenette, private bathroom with shower, and emergency response system. Studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom floor plans are available.

The building’s layout consists of four-corridors that meet in the middle, where a variety of community areas are available for residents and their families to enjoy. Elevators provide convenient access to and from the second floor.

The exterior of the building features two lovely porches on either side of the canopied-covered front entrance as well as a patio off the dining room.

Certified nurses assistants are on-duty round-the-clock to provide the personal assistance needed by residents. They work under the direction of the community’s licensed nursing staff.
