Listen to House Calls

In keeping with our focus on enhancing the quality of life for older adults and their families, BMA was proud to have been a featured sponsor of the House Calls radio show.

The show was hosted by Dr. David Fisher, a board certified gerontologist, and ran on Sundays on Wind 560-AM in Chicago.

We invite you to listen to or download any of the shows that are of interest to you.
An archive of all of the shows is listed below.

Why did Dr. Fisher start the radio show "House Calls"?

I understand the need for reliable information about your health. You are bombarded with data, and it is hard to know who to trust. Many companies and clinicians are out to promote their own agenda or products. My only purpose is to help you navigate the health care system and take control of your health.

As a physician in full-time practice, I know the pressures that work against good communication between doctors and patients. I know you sometimes leave your doctor's office with unanswered questions.

~ Dr. David Fisher, MD, MPH

Dr. Fisher is the author of "How to Keep Mom (and yourself) Out of a Nursing Home,"
a book which focuses on seven keys to maintaining your independence.
