Wii Bowling Team Earns Spot in Elite Eight Date Posted : 04/15/2011 The Wii Are The Woods bowling team at Heritage Woods of Chicago is one of the eight teams to qualify for the third round of the playoffs in the Affordable Assisted Living Coalition’s (AALC) 2011 Supportive Living Wii Bowling Tournament, it was announced today.The tournament features teams of residents from Supportive Living communities in Illinois. More than 60 teams throughout the State entered the competition.To qualify for the third playoff round, teams needed to finish in one of the top two spots in their division in the second round of the playoffs.Wii Are The Woods finished in first place in the Stars & Strikes Division. Team members are Heritage Woods of Chicago residents Phillip Bradley, Kattie Davis, Chalmer Hall, Christine Johnson, Angela Raabe and Kathleen Stewart.The team's average per-bowler per-game score in the second round of the playoffs was 209.The third round of the playoffs is being held the week of April 18.The tournament will culminate during Supportive Living Week with the Final Four traveling to Springfield to compete in the semi-finals on Tuesday, April 26, and the finals on Wednesday, April 27.Wii Are The Woods is one of five teams from affordable assisted living communities managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the company that manages Heritage Woods of Chicago, to qualify for the third round of the playoffs.
