Heritage Woods of Mt. Vernon is the only affordable assisted living community in Jefferson County, Illinois.
Located on south 42nd St., east of I-57 and south of Hwy. 15 in the south central Illinois community of Mt. Vernon. Heritage Woods provides a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home for adults 65 and older of all incomes who may need some help to maintain their independence. The community is especially designed to benefit those who do not have the financial resources to afford market rate assisted living.
The community, which opened in June 2007, is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., a company founded by Blair Minton, a former resident of Mt. Vernon and native of McLeansboro, Illinois. The community is owned by Hunt and Bill Bonan of Peoples National Bank and Market Street Banc Shares and by BMA Properties, Ltd.
Especially Designed for You
Situated on property immediately south of the King City Professional Plaza, the two-story building houses 66 private studio and one-bedroom apartments, each with its own kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower, and emergency response system.
Certified nurses assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide the personal assistance needed by residents. They work under the direction of the community’s licensed nursing staff.
