BMA’s capacity for serving older adults and their families grew by more than 16% during the first three months of 2009, with the opening of three new communities and the completion of expansion projects at two communities.
“We added 375 apartments and homes, expanding our inventory from nearly 2,300 to nearly 2,675,” says Rod Burkett, President of BMA Management, Ltd.
In January, an additional neighborhood of memory care apartments opened at the Lighthouse at Silvis senior living community, expanding the number of memory care apartments from 18 to 33. The community also houses senior living and assisted living apartments.
In February, Heritage Woods of Bolingbrook opened its doors. The affordable assisted lifestyle community located in the southwest suburban area of Chicago houses 105 private studio and one-bedroom apartments.
In March, two affordable assisted lifestyle communities opened for occupancy. Cambridge House of Swansea is the third Cambridge House community to be developed in the Metro East area of St. Louis. The community houses 103 one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. Heritage Woods of Sterling is the first affordable assisted lifestyle community to be developed in the Sterling/Rock Falls area of Illinois. The community houses 76 apartments.
“Also in during the first three months of 2009, we more than doubled the size of the Heritage Woods of Centralia senior living community,” says Burkett. “In addition to opening 10 more affordable assisted living apartments, we added two additional senior living options to the campus.”
The 16 Senior Living Apartments at Heritage Woods of Centralia the comforts of apartment home living with a variety of features and amenities designed for the convenience of older adults. The apartments are available on a rental basis.
The Villas at Heritage Woods of Centralia is a neighborhood of rental duplex homes for low income adults who are 55 years of age and older. The homes offer the advantage of single-level living, with one-bedroom and two-bedroom floor plans available.
