As a management
specialist with Blair Minton & Associates, Inc., Mr. Burkett
brings more than 25 years of experience in the development and management
of assisted living, long-term care and healthcare entities,
including Supportive Living Facilities, Nursing Homes and Hospitals.
During his tenure as Vice President of Blair Minton & Associates,
Inc., Mr. Burkett has provided management oversight for more than 20
Supportive Living projects, from the pre-opening process through
stabilized occupancy and beyond.
Mr. Burkett
has also conducted numerous market studies for various senior
housing proposals in both suburban and rural areas.
Mr.
Burkett previously served as CEO for two Illinois hospitals;
director of management services for 10 nursing homes and assisted
living facilities; Regional Director of a long-term care system
and served as the Executive Director of two medical clinics.
With this broad base of experience, Mr. Burkett is comfortable
working in rural, suburban and urban communities.
Mr. Burkett
earned his undergraduate degree from Eastern Illinois University
in 1978 with a degree in Community Health and he received his
MBA from Eastern in 1993. He is a licensed nursing home
administrator and served on the Life Services Network Supportive Living Facility Cabinet, the Board of Directors of the Illinois
Rural Health Association, and the Board of Directors of the Illinois Provider Trust and Illinois
Hospital Association.
